What Makes Revela Retreats So Different?
Bespoke, Boutique, Transformational. Yes, all of those things, but more!
With traveling the world many times over, we have properly vetted and identified the best in class. From locations to experts and facilitators. But, its even more than that…
During our founders deep journey experiences, the vision came and we are “People Preservationists.” This has a double meaning. One, is to preserve ourselves, after all, the earth has survived many natural disasters and Mother earth needs us to save the human race. The other meaning comes from traveling far and wide and realizing that indigenous people are truly the wisdom keepers. They hold the keys to our self preservation. However, many of these indigenous tribes are in peril, many marginalized minorities. Caught between the policies of national governments, corporate interests and the trends of globalization, which often disrespect the traditional ways of all these people. These things place them at high risk to becoming lost tribes and cultures, taking with them, their wisdom. We are committed to working with these tribes all over the world. They offer a great deal of healing knowledge and are integral part of our ceremonies and process. With our work, comes great responsibility to give back to these people. We donate a percentage of our proceeds to protecting these wisdom keepers and preserving their cultures.

Changing a Paradigm
When most people think of plant medicines, most probably think of running barefoot in the jungles of the Peru, sipping out of a cup, experiencing horrible bodily functions that usually come from eating uncooked chicken. Dogmatic Shamans giving instruction on where to purge, where to sit and loud drumming that at times makes you want to purge even more. For most new comers to this experience it is a tough brew to swallow, no pun intended.
For many the avatar of the person seeking out spiritual enlightenment has typically been the millennial with dread locks and possibly a look of “ I have been living in tree house in the jungle for 10 days”. We are here to tell you that avatar is rapidly changing. We mostly offer these retreats to high level executives, middle aged mothers, even milennials that want to experience transformation at a younger age.
This is why we created bespoke experiences for people. We take into account that everyone has different levels of background and comfort levels. For our first timers our approach is unlike most others. We have hand chosen the best of a handful of female shamans to deliver the medicine in beautifully relaxed environments, without the degree of purge that many of the other ceremonies deliver.
As people become more experienced, the traditional ceremonies with a purge are also extremely beneficial. They offer an experience that for some can be very healing. However, for newbies or beginners, the thought of puking in a ceremonial bucket and not making it to the bathroom in time is not so appealing. We are here to tell you its not always necessary.
There is a scientific reason for the vomiting (see our blog on to purge or not to purge) however, sometimes a purge can take shape in other forms, such as crying, sweating, or even laughter.
